So you have a journal and pen, but the daunting blankness of the page before you is causing you major writer's block. You're stumped for ideas on what to write about, and frustrated to the point of giving up on the whole idea of journaling altogether. Well, I have a possible solution to that dilemma!! It's called a Journal Jar!

Basically, a Journal Jar is a mason (or even a plastic) jar decorated in any way you want, that holds strips of paper that have prompts, or questions, that help you to think of things to write in your journal. I found a site detailing this handy little jar and even giving a nice list of prompts you can use.

Of course, the beauty of a Journal Jar is that you can put any kind of prompts in it. If these questions aren't to your liking, or you feel they don't apply to you very much, then by all means, go out and find a list of prompts that you feel better fit yourself. You could even make jars with themed prompts in them to use at different times of the year. Or, you could make a Spirituality themed Journal Jar and fill it with prompts that help you to write and explore your own spirituality. The possibilities are literally endless.

I'll upload a picture of my own Journal Jar later, so you can see an example. Remember folks, have fun and be creative. Journaling shouldn't be a chore, but something you look forward to, a luxury you very much enjoy.

EDIT: Here is my very own Journal Jar!!
