Unfortunately, the law is not always interpretted as being in our favour. It is likely you will receive the same advice from other counsel. My advice would be to listen to all that the lawyer has to tell you while asking them to explain those things that trouble you with it. Make sure they also explain to you the likely legal tactics your ex's own attourney would be counseling her. Remember, your lawyer would be in their job if they didn't know what they are doing. Again, calmly ask s/he to explain that which troubles you. Also, remember you are not alone. I think most people in a breakup find the legal system to be not on their side.
