Can I remind you of something my dear friend?? We can't (and shouldn't try to) always fix everything. Sometimes they need to work on it themselves. I know you want the family to be loving and calm, but ya know what, it's not always like that. Sometimes fathers and daughters need to work through their own issues. I know it's hard to sit back and not try to fix things, but take it from someone who thought they had to fix everything....it will suck the life out of you! What you can do is take a "middle of the road" approach. You can be sympathetic to both sides...and...you can ask each one, what do they think they can do to help fix their issues. Let them come up with their own ideas. I think you will be surprised that they will find a way to work through things.
