Its hard to describe but the experience was somewhere between a daydream and an actual dream. It wasn't completely under my control and events and other characters in this definitely had wills of their own. It wasn't symptomatic of a disassociation disorder since I was in complete control over when it happened and the duration.
I tried to explain this when I was little but since no one else could do it I was made fun of for it a lot and stopped discussing it and stopped doing it for a while too. Every once in a while I still do it and have been doing it more often recently before bed both to relax as well as use it to inspire short stories. I have been curious if there is a name for it or if anyone else does that. Was this some type of meditation that anyone here is aware of? Thank you.
