my suggestion is talk with your treatment providers. insurance usually do have special forms for treatment providers to fill in to request more sessions. short version american health system no longer has limiting caps where insurance companies say thats it no more. so insurance companies set a basic number of sessions they will pay for then if more are needed they have the treatment provider fill in paperwork as to the clients diagnosis, a basic goal oriented treatment plan and a projection of possible number of extra sessions needed. the insurance company gets the paper word then updates their files to reflect how many more sessions per that present fiscal year they will pay for.
another suggestion is when talking with your treatment providers find out how many sessions per year your insurance covers. then schedule / space out your sessions in a way that will make it possible for you to see your treatment provider year around with out running out of sessions.
example.....my own insurance company pays for 52 sessions a year so my treatment provider and I schedule in such a way that I can see her almost every week with a few spaced out further so that we have some left over for emergency sessions.
also applying for social security disability can be done online at the social security website. you dont necessarily have to go in to the ss office now.
