I know I must have more than just this but for the past week I've had this same dream multiple times and it's the only one I've been remembering. Sometimes I wake up screaming but don't know why, I can't remember my dreams then. By the way, this is violent and gross so I warn you of a possible trigger; aside from the main points, I have left out a lot of the gore it contains.
*Possible Trigger*
I'm chained up to a tree or pole opposite three family members: My mom, my dad and my little brother. There's a man there and he's torturing them in front of me. No matter how much I fight, I can't get free. There's a part where my mom opens here mouth to say something (all the while in tears) and instead of words, blood pours out of her mouth, my brother and dad follow suit (their tongues have been cut out). At the end of the dream the man snaps my brother's neck, slits my dad's throat and stabs my mom repeatedly in the gut. I wake up then feeling so terrified that it takes me a while to come down from it.
Why do I keep dreaming this? What does it mean?
