My ex father-in -law has severe bpd. I'll tell ya, there were days when he'd make us nuts over the trivial thoughts in his head. every year or two he goes 'in' for treatment or to re-adjust meds.

But WE STILL LOVE HIM and couldn't bear the thought of him going away!!! He's a treasure-trove of life experience and a shining example of how not to dispair (for very long). He can make me laugh when no one else can!
