I think you can say the same about anything, really. I struggle with that too. Nothing lasts forever. Most people seem to live more in the moment and take things in stride. But when you've been through really painful partings, it does make you question why it's worth it.
Honestly? I think it's up to you to answer your question, because only you know deep down why you're trying despite inevitable pain. There must be something inside you that keeps hoping things can get better, even if it's very tiny. Like a single thread. But it's there. I think that matters a lot. It says that there can be good things too, and pain doesn't last forever.
It's a struggle though, and I wish you the best in trying to find your answers.
