Hair loss. Crazy. For the past year. A year ago told my pdoc and she said eat more protein. Then she said use nioxin. Then she said it takes time. Then she had me take a thyroid TSH test and said it's borderline high, which wouldn't cause hair loss. (I couldn't get up the nerve to tell her my online research said hair loss can occur with low or high TSH scores.)

I will admit I have been super stressed for a year, and the last big stress was moving 4 months ago.

I looked at an old picture from years ago where my hair looked really thin. In pictures after that my hair looked thicker again.

Any thoughts? My hair is long, beyond my shoulders, but getting very thin. I think it might look worse cut short. My hair itself is fine but I normally have a lot of hair. What if it continues falling out? Like should I get a buzz cut or something? Hair extensions are not an option. It's too thin. A wig? Not.

I guess I will just hide under hats all winter. Also, my head actually feels colder!

I think maybe I went through this in the past (maybe after the stress of separation and divorce) but it always seems I try to forget about it as soon as possible. So I never remember how long it took to rebalance.

Did this ever happen to you?

How did you cope?

How long did it take for things to return to normal?
