I almost had to go for my mixed/manic episode the other day and the only reason I didn't was the way I'd get treated. And I'm a medical assistant. I was a cardiologists assistant for awhile too and one patient had BP and he needed a heart cath. When the patient left the room, the dr turned to me and whispered "he's crazy, you don't want to work on those types!" And he refused to do the procedure!! The patient was completely stable and all. I was sickened. So yea I've been on both sides of the table and I know how doctors see us.

Hearing what that doctor said breaks my freakin heart! I'm sorry you had any of those experiences. It sure is an eye opener however.
