How about trying to use this time to build a distress tolerance coping tool kit?
You can make a list of what works best and in which situation, you can even post a thread asking for ideas on different coping mechanisms.
If you don't have one already, start a journal, it will provide a play by play record of your mental health status, and in time will probably lead you to become more insightful / self aware.
Both these strategies will then lead you to depending on your sister less, which is a good thing in the bigger scheme of things.
