This was for MI reasons, but for my time before last ER visit I had to spend one night in the medical unit. I don't think anyone knew what had initially led me there because they were all so nice! I got my own phone. I had my own shower. I got to order my own food. I could have visitors whenever I wanted (not that anyone wanted to visit me since they were all mad at me). I remember asking one of the nurses if it was okay if I had visitors whenever and they looked at me like it was a ridiculous question and said yeah.
Not that I've ever been treated bad in the psych ward... it was just weird being on a non psych ward. I felt like I had a lot more freedom. I didn't feel like I was in prison.
