I'm not diagnosing you, that's a doctor's job. I was told by a doctor that I had traits of OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder). I have times when I'm exactly like you described. I actually avoid that forum because it can cause me to go back to doing this.
I don't know how to make it stop for you, I don't know for myself. You're not alone in this, though.
