I look at the reports about the world ending and think.. well, they have to get this from somewhere- and let's face it, anything can happen at anytime
an giant asteroid could end it all tomorrow. no one really knows.
my views are that when it comes to these world's end theories, they should always be taken seriously because you just don't know

everything has a beginning, middle and ending. Yes an asteroid can barrel towards any planets including earth but if you ever watch the NASA channel or keep up on NASA website and other science channels and science websites you will find that america and other countries have many different ways of watching what is going on out in space. they discovered that it takes many many light years (like in the millions) for the asteroids to reach even a close fly by earth, a close fly by is like trillions of miles outside earths atmosphere. if they can spot asteroids that far away and track their trojectories, we are not going to get caught by the seat of our pants one night or morning with omg an asteriod is inside our atmosphere and we are going to die bam dead.
not to mention the fact that we have missiles that have all kinds of warheads, if an asteroids trajectory shows its going to hit earth those missiles are going to be shot off to blast those asteroids. my opinion we have more to worry about with wars on earth and whether or not our various countries are going to nuke us then we do of the world ending.
I just dont let those kinds of things send me to anxiety and dissociation and all that. for me there are more important things to worry about then whether Im going to get hit by an asteroid that may or may not come flying in one day out of the blue. if I worried about that then I might as well cower in my home and worry about whether the airplane passing over head is going to crash into my home or if an air planes port a potty business is going to land on my head if I walk out my door. or oh gosh dont walk down the side walk that building may suddenly one day come tumbling down or dont cross the street an unexpected car might suddenly decide to hit me... omg dont take my kids to school and day care the world might end and I will never see them again, ok kids and wife we are not leaving this house, if we do we can get hit by lightening, an asteroid, a meteor, a car a falling tree.......
see what I mean I can scare myself to death with all the things on earth and out there in space or I can say you know theres more to life then waiting for something to drop out of space on top of me. I go about my life and leave the worrying about the world ending to the great scientists, and astronauts that are using all the great technology at their hands and are doing a great job already of tracking space junk, space objects, stars and planets.
the point of my post above was that its just not worth my time and energy to cause myself to dissociate, and panic\ anxiety over such things. if I really want to die I wouldnt pin my hopes for death on an asteroid or the world ending. I would instead do it myself and be done with it. to me waiting around for an asteroid or the end of the world tells me that I really dont want to die. otherwise I wouldnt be waiting for something that may or may not happen for millions of years in the future.
