Not me.. I don't think I ever was a "pack rat". I think the most I ever "held on to" may have been fabric and crafts. From yarn to beads to ceramics and tons of fabric paints. I even made and sold holiday wreaths. Not sure how I did all those crafts, because now I would be lost, to even attempt to paint a t-shirt or sew a pot holder.
When I lost my house, everything had to go. What I did not give away, I sold in yard sales at a fraction of the price I paid. I found "good homes" for my beautiful Persian carpets and bedroom furniture. Odd, the carpets were the hardest to let go, because they were sooo beautiful. I couldn't carry them as they were sooo very heavy. As for the beds, for some reason I have problems sleeping on beds, so they were easy to give away. I never slept on them.
Now, what I can't lift or carry I don't need or want. Besides, I hate rooms "cluttered" with stuff I never use. So if I don't use it, I don't want it.. Makes life easier for me..
