Nope, we don't cater to everyone's "triggers and whims," we ask that members abide by the community guidelines and specific rules for chat (such as no explicit sex talk, since this isn't a dating site). We ask that members respect one another, and move to the appropriate room when the conversation takes a more mature turn (e.g., adult) or emotional turn (emotional support).

We ask that members practice self-care first and foremost and don't use chat if they are in a place where they may be easily hurt or offended. And if they do use chat, they place other members on ignore who they don't like (or don't like what they say).

Nothing's changed, rule-wise, with chat for quite some time, so I'm not sure what this specific piece of feedback is referring to. It's up to the members to make the chat experience whatever they'd like to make it, we just set the foundation of what it cannot be (because we are first and foremost, a mental health community).
