no I never drank alcohol to forget my problems. I dissociated. if there was something I could not handle that would automatically trigger me into dissociating and then the alter who's sense of agency was to handle that problem would take control and do what needed to be done. kind of like how in some of your posts you have posted when you need to drive somewhere another alter takes control and does the driving for you. if I was stressed out, worried or any other emotions that would trigger my dissociative symptoms which in turn caused an alter to take control.

Im not saying I didnt have alters that drank alcohol. one did, just wasnt for the purpose of forgetting. it was for entertainment and enjoyment and dating/ socializing with friends.

I just never had to worry about forgetting the bad stuff or anything in general. part of my having had DID was memory problems, even now after being integrated I still have gaps in my memories and if having a hard day that dissociative memory problems that come with my dissociative disorders/ PTSD/ Bipolar ,depression anxiety disorders kicks in and if I didnt live by making lists of things I needed to remember I would never remember anything.

yea I never had to worry about things like forgetting. I was the queen of forgetting in my family, as a result I never got into the drinking to solve or forget my problems deal that many teens and adults around my city end up into.
Thanks for this!
