like mouse said one step at a time , i think of a small goal or milestone to make it and hope that when i get there i will have the srength to make it to the next one, sometimes i feel better sometimes i have to set another small milestone, it was like when i first started running, i hated the pains in my legs but i knew i had to go through it if i was to continue on the cross country team, so i would run and say to my self i just need to make it to the next mail box and when i got there i felt some small measure of success and then i would say to myself now just make it to that next stop sign, this continued and eventually i could run 5-7 miles with no significant pain,

somtimes it also helps if i have a hobby or something to disctract myself from the really bad times too. my problem is sometimes a throw myself into a new project where i become consumed by it, i think that is part of my ocd though
