Although I knew it was clearly possible things might go this way, I am baffled by the fact that this person would get the majority vote in the end. I guess I am "out of touch" with the majority in the U.S.

Many are shocked. So very many people had "tossed their vote" to a third party because they had felt Secretary Clinton clearly would win without their support.

I am having difficulty relating to the thinking of the majority.

Baffled, yet I have to accept the fact that I do not relate to the majority.
