Hi folks,
Here's a good story for you. I have never been in a psychiatric hospital but my mother was for three days back in the 1960s.
She was compulsorily committed by my father (using me as a witness). She was released after three days with a clean bill of health. Curious?
At the time I didn' t have a clue what was going on, except that she had been very unhappy, drinking, and seemed to have lost the will to go on.
Shortly afterwards I realised what the truth had been.
When my father turned his full attention onto me, I knew first hand what my mother had been through. I carried his anger through my teens and twenties and this shielded my mother, as he liked to have just one victim at a time.
The doctors had treated the wrong person!
I mean, you've got to laugh.
Cheers, Myzen
