IOP stands for Intensive Outpatient. You go during the day but get to go home and sleep in your own bed at time. It's a step down from being hospitalized. If you had transportation it would be a good option for you but with your transportation difficulties, the hospital is a better option for you if you need something more than monthly check ins.
