That's very exciting! College gets easier the longer you are there, so don't set too high of an expectation for yourself. The first semester is always the hardest. I would say just to remember to get involved, and keep in mind that everyone else wants someone to come up and talk to them just as much as you want someone to come up and talk to you.
College is a great time of life for a lot of people. It certainly has been for me.
