I prefer smooth as well. I don't find banter exciting. The thing is my husband and I have the smoothest relationship I ever had, and I am the happiest I ever been (so is he). Relationships I've been in before including my first marriage weren't as smooth although maybe we had more similar political views. My husbands first marriage was awful and he was abused by his wife yet she had the same upbringing as him. So relationships might be good or bad for many reasons.

It's impossible and probably unnecessary to find a person who are like us 100%.

Now I believe major values do have to match. I wouldn't ever spend time let alone want to date a racist or homophob etc Everybody has thier deal breakers
