Hi, I am not new to PC, but I am new to this forum. For years I struggled with depression and anxiety—or so I thought. After trying about every antidepressant, antipsychotic and mood stabilizer, my pdoc put me on Dexedrine. The result was amazing. My brain slowed down, intrusive thoughts went away, I became able to concentrate at work…Now, he thinks I have ADD and he might eventually take me off my mood stabilizer, antidepressant and antipsychotic. Before, I was constantly anxious because my brain was in overdrive all the time. I got depressed because my work performance was so horrible, my relationships were difficult…I was so unorganized that my life was chaos. I have been taking the Dexedrine for several months and the depression is gone. My anxiety is at a reasonable level. This is like a godsend. For the first time in my life, I feel almost normal.

I look forward to meeting people here in this forum and learning more about ADD. Finally, I have hope that my life is going to get better.
