I'm so sorry you're having to deal with people like that. Sounds like unbelievable behaviour on a professional site! Like workplace bullying

I'm learning that emotions are simply information, and I'd say that when someone's behaviour leaves you feeling hurt, that hurt is a signal that something's wrong - they shouldn't be treating you this way. Then I'd think of ways to solve the situation..

Being dead timid myself, I struggle immensely with standing up for myself, but if I was in a similar situation and feeling really brave, I'd probably tell them how their behaviour makes me feel and ask them to stop and be more supportive towards others to keep the atmosphere on the site positive and make it a pleasant working environment for everyone.

I might say this a couple of times if they didn't believe or listen to me the first time, but beyond that, I wouldn't get into an argument with them about it. If someone disrespects me to the point of not taking my concerns seriously, that's when I find ignoring and avoiding them as much as possible is the only option. Not gonna fight with idiots
