I have found it helpful. For me, not having to name and discuss the trauma is helpful. We started with building resources and that helped me step back from the brink of suicide. After I was more stable, we started with things that are going on in my life now that trigger me, identify the belief that comes with the trigger, and then start with the EMDR. It definitely untangled some stuff in a way that was safe and did not lead to dependence/transference/attachment to t.
