As a sufferer of IBS, I understand that it can get bad and that you would feel you couldn't have the strength to leave. I'm sorry it is so bad for you.

When I was ready to leave my husband, the month before I planned on leaving, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and the doctor told me that I couldn't leave due to the care I would need. I stayed and by the time I was cured I didn't feel like leaving. We are still married 14 years later. I wish I had been strong enough to leave but I didn't and now it's too late. I can manage on my own now either.

So if you want to leave I would suggest that you manage it somehow even with your IBS or you may never get out.
