If you're a close family member, the treatment team may or may not ask for your input. None the less it doesn't hurt to put it out there.

By and large the treatment team should be professionals and let's hope that whatever decision they make in the next few months, will be in the best interests of the person you're referring to is concerned, after having taken all facts into consideration.
