On this thread, we're talking regret. Not guilt (though those can go hand in hand), they're different. You can feel and hold guilt that doesn't belong to you, but you can't carry someone else's regret (at least not by definition). I also want this to be as judgement free of a thread as humanly possible (I don't feel I have to say that because you all are pretty good about this, but I'm just putting it out there).

I'll start it off: I regret allowing myself to turn into the things I hated. I regret hurting people (physically), whether or not it was justified. I regret being a person who turns to liquor to feel better and I regret allowing myself to get this bad before deciding to get some help.
