((((tomi)))) i understand the risk-benefit analysis. i truly do understand this. i've been slated to get a recently fda approved treatment for my treatment-resistant chronic major depression (it's called vns therapy, or vagus nerve stimulation therapy). and it requires a surgical implantation of the generator and lead wires to the vagus nerve. the risks are quite minimal. and i had to weigh the pros and cons of this. since i'm a huge candidate for electroshock therapy, i'm leery of doing electrock because i already have brain damage. i feel safer with vns therapy. i've been waiting for awhile, since i have to get insurance approval for coverage.
