As the Big Book of AA says in the Doctor's Opinion that "Men and women drink essentially because they like the effect produced by alcohol."-

And that we have an allergy to alcohol....in our case....times a hundred.

And for real...we love it as to how it numbs the distraught, pain, inner anxiety and stress....

Not all of us feel this way....but a lot of the hurt of the emotional parts bleed through too easily.
