laura beth,its a community treatment order as far as i know-its when your forced to take medication against your own will.

straightaced,you need to speak to their CPN,i am near you from manchester and come under the learning disability team,rather than mental health team but i have the equivilent of a CPN [called a community learning disability nurse] and she is able to do a lot on my behalf,as well as address any problems in my care or speak to doctors and specialists without me involved.
if she/he was previously sectioned,she/he will be on a 117 aftercare plan,i was sectioned in a learning disability hospital around 4 yrs ago and am still on the 117,you get CPA meetings every few months so its worth you enquiring about this when the next one is and speaking up with your concerns at the meeting.
