Hello Gnroses: I'm sorry you are experiencing this difficulty.

We here on PC cannot diagnose you.

Our purpose here is to provide one another with support & to share experiences.
Professionals in the field of mental health tell us that, to a large extent, depression is caused by imbalances in neurochemicals in the brain. So assuming this is the case, then one can certainly have a good family & friends as well as a secure life & still struggle with depression. From my perspective, the important thing here is that you are experiencing some things that are quite troublesome for you. So I would say talking all of this through with a mental health therapist, or similar mental health professional (depending on what is available to you where you live), would be a good idea. Continuing to read through various posts, here on PC, may also help you to gain perspective with regard to what's going on with you.
Anyway... I see this is your first post here on PC. So... welcome to PsychCentral… from the Skeezyks!

I hope you find the time you spend here to be of benefit.
