My suggestion would be to take a step back and start helping YOU or you'll never be able to help others, not in the way that you feel you need to.
I do understand what you're feeling. My problem was, with mental illness running rampant in my family, I was taking care of everyone else (husband, kids, in-laws, mother, brothers, aunt, cousin, sister, etc.) and I forgot how to take care of myself.
That is what I'm learning to do right now and I've found that the more I do for myself, the more I'm able to help others without being so obsessive and overwhelmed.
