Hello NotDeadYet: I'm sorry you are having this difficulty. I'm afraid I don't know of any easy ways of dealing with these sorts of fears. But I saw no one had replied to your post. So I thought I would. I employ a Buddhist practice referred to as "compassionate abiding". Here is a nice nonsectarian description of the practice. Perhaps it can be of some benefit:
