I have been fretting and stressing to such a great extent I have been making myself physically ill - syptoms that could also possibly indicate a worsening of my physical health. I got myself so worked up that Thursday I packed my bag for the hospital.
I was hospitalized this weekend for a panic attack. Although the doctors did not agree it was angina or symptoms of a stroke, I believe I still had those symptoms anyway. I was experiencing shoulder, jaw, chest, and neck tightness and pain. My blood pressure was extremely high, even though I take two medications for that reason. They gave me morphine for, I assume, angina pain. This worked except for my neck pain. They also gave me four baby aspirin to alleviate a headache; this also works as a blood thinner. While in the hospital, I underwent a stress test and blood work for changes in my heart. Those two tests were negative. My mother went through many of these episodes (angina), and unless she actually suffered an actual heart attack, nothing would show up on any of these tests either. I believe I am taking after my mother, at least in my physical health. I think I suffered a panic attack with angina. I am sorry that I am going on about my physical (and mental) health here, but I do know now, for sure, that panic and anxiety attacks lead to physical symptoms. I don't mean to scare you here, but I think you may have legitimate concerns. Good luck to you. I hope that everything goes well for you with both your physical and mental health, both now and in the future.
