I completely relate. Have you ever read "The Artist's Way" by Julia Cameron? She talks about things like this, being in recovery and trying to be a creative person. Recovery meaning any sort of recovery, by the way. Sometimes you just have to do it and don't worry about what comes out. Part of what keeps me back is my inner critic. I keep hearing "not good enough!" but you have to ignore that sometimes. Some of my "worst" work really wowed lots of people. I don't often like my art yet people love it. But I do agree, often your mental health has a lot to do with why you feel like not doing the things you used to enjoy. Try to pick it up again. At least you'll have something done, even if you don't like it.
