I am job-hunting, too, though I'm still working. Long story short - the grand poo-bah doesn't like me and wants me gone but can't outright fire me. They've put me on probation. I'll probably be fired in 90 days regardless of how hard I work to turn things around. Anyhoo, if I were fired and had my days free again, I would do job-hunt related stuff for a few hours in the morning to get it out of the way. Update the resume, search online for jobs, call up placement agencies, etc. Even if I don't accomplish much, I've put in my time. Then I would do something enjoyable in the afternoon and evening. Coffee shops are good places for me to go to get stuff done. I'm less likely to goof off in public, lol.
Thanks for this!
