Sorry that was said to you, that man is a pig. Here's the thing.. There are good men in the world but there are also a lot of men with horrible intentions. As a grown woman you have to protect yourself.. It's not bullet-proof but if you take your time, get to know them, hold off on sex, have boundaries in place, watch for red flags, and stop contact when anyone crosses your boundaries, I think you can weed out many rotten apples.
