probably not more shyer than I was(still kinda shy). When I started college last year, I really didn't talk to anyone, I tried to stay to myself, but people generally like people, so they are friendly and want to socialize. Depending on your professor, they may encourage group work, so take that time to introduce and get know people. Also when not in class and you have free time I'd say hang out in an area that generally has a lot of people, I know it's hard ,but you can do it. And people will try to conversate with you. Don't be nervous, their human just like you. You can do it!!
