when he first arrived in china, he went to a very poverty stricken area and was completely devastated with what he saw. after that trip he went to shanghai where he smoked those ciggs. i dont know what chemical those ciggs may have in them, or if that is even what induced this state of mind. he is now set out to end poverty in the world and started obsessing with what he can do, he came up with many diferent ideas all which are unrealistic. like becoming an over night billionaire and helping out the poor. he came up with many business plans, all which are not feasible by our financial means. he now thinks he already made millions of dollars, when he has not! he is completely paranoid about current events and thinks the world is coming to an end. he thinks that he has been chosen to save the world. he sees messages and signs all over the place, and thinks the TV is talking to him. he smoked about 2/3 packs of those ciggerettes and its been 3 days and he's extremely energetic and cannot stop talking. his friends went to pick him up and convince him to come back and told him there was a family eemergency and finally got him on a plane. he is on a plane as i speak. his delusions have not been cleared despite the fact that he was was given valium to sleep. he was told that he had high bp, and he thought he was taking blood pressure medicine and not valium. i dont know if its the stimulants in the ciggs that caused this or its self induced as a response to the extreme shock he had. the one day that i questioned his thoughts (before i knew he was smoking that or being irrational), he got really mad, and he was so upset that i didnt understand him that he was crying uncontrollably for hours! i thought that maybe this was all my fault , so i said sorry (for an hour) , he finally calmed down and went back to talking about all that stuff. its been 3 days and he hasnt stopped. and now i dont think its the herbs. or maybe he's gone so far that he cannot distinguish between reality and not. we cannot question him, he gets extremely mad. i dont know what to do he is coming back tomorrow and i will face him alone for the first time. please help.
