Slightly off topic, but i find it interesting how society lays out rules for what you can, and cannot believe in depending on where you are...

If some countries, then it is not only okay, but perfectly acceptable for you to believe in various religions.

In others you will be stoned for believing in a different religion

And in others it is unfeasable that you believe in a higher power, and will be burnt as you will be seen as the embodiment of the devil.

Society creates all these boundries itself. Hopefully it goes some way to answer why you got sectioned for your beliefs, because they did not fit with the "norm".
