I don't know where you live Lemath but here in the United States the FDA has banned ephedrine and all Ephedra-containing products mainly for the physical side effects (it was claimed it caused some deaths). I used to take it myself in a few forms, mostly to boost my extremelly sluggish metabolism so i would not get fat. i am psychotic (at least according to human consensus reality) but it's not from the ephedrine. i don't know if it can make people psychotic or not, but i DO know it can take an existing problem and blow it way out of proportion -- like if someone is already depressed or bipolar it can throw it way, way off the charts or make it worse. even when it was legal here there were warnings on the label not to take it if you had depression or any mood disorder or were currently on medications for those conditions. when i was taking it, it tended to make my moods way more extreme than they already are (IF that's possible, LOL!) i never tried smoking it in any form -- i wonder if there's some type of chemical reaction if it is smoked that makes it a more dangerous chemical or something?
