I do not wish to offend, but this has been a question I've contemplated for sometime. Why do some members use the largest, boldest font for their signatures?

Personally, I find it cumbersome to scroll so far (a page!) to get to the next post in a forum thread. The signatures are difficult to read b/c only a word or two per line is hard to read intelligently. One says "Take it" on one line as a portion of their signature, which is a terrible trigger to me by itself. Upon reading further, it is benign. But that is all I see until or unless I scroll down.

Anyway, I'm just curious of the intention of those who do that. Hence, my question.

If anyone could shed some light on the purpose of the huge text of some signatures, I would like to understand.
