Hi,
It is probable that you have some sleep disorder. If you work and can read without going to sleep, you can be sure it is notnarcolepsy.
Nightmares and night terrors happen because you need to be woken for some reason. It maybe that you're allergic to some food, drink or medicine you eat, drink or take.
Psychological upsets or PTSD could be another cause of your bad dreams. The subconscious mind creates the dreams to solve a problem during sleep. So you or your doctor need to find the problem that causes the nightmares.
Dreams- be they ever so strange- have a structure. Very often the subconscious indicates the cause of the dream. If you care to post one or two of your nightmares it may give a clue to thecause.
