This dream served as a topic to help me delve into some sexual fantasies, my concerns, and enabled us to talk fairly openly about a topic that I've never been able to talk about in session before! I'm still not comfortable engaging in some of the body work , like what she wanted me to try last night.. placing a hand over the pelvis and a hand over the sacrum and making this movement (which looked fairly sexual to me) to help me get more in touch ( no pun intended.. lol) with my body.. I know I'm leaving stuff out but it's a lot to type! Are you familiar with body work? If so I'd be interested in your opinion.. thanks : )

Hi 1step, I know a bit about bodywork but not enough to practise it yet! I am more comfortable with dreamwork.
I work with the Gestalt and Jungian way in dream work. Which I believe when combining the two is a very very powerful way of exploring dreams. Both Jung and gestalt's believe that in our dreams every person or object in the dream represents us. So if we were were to look at that like that, yes, you do want to be closer to your t but a part of your your t that was represented in the dream. What is it about your t that you want to embody or get closer to, is there a part of yourself that you need to look after more, like your therapist cares about you?
Also using the gestalt way, I would ask you to close your eyes and to tell me the dream as if it's happening right now in the present. This can evoke lots of emotions and gives a good sense of the feelings in the dream. After telling it, I would ask you to speaks as different parts of the dream, ( speaking as 1step and then as your t) what do they have to say to each other. Then speak as the room, or the bed or even as the lips that long to kiss your t or whatever is relevant to your dream.
I find this way very good but it's not everyone's cup of t.
I am just wondering if your t explains what and why when she asks you to do these movements, what is the reason behind doing them?
