I am sorry for the passing of your grandmother.
I am most concerned for you regarding the stress of your job right now. Companies need to be more compassionate when one is going thru such things. If I were you, I'd think about finding another place to work if that is at all feasible.
Today...just to share with you...I took a letter over to my board of education office from the Hospice social worker, stating that I would be needed in my home for the care of my mother. I've been missing a lot of work lately, but everyone has been understanding and I am just using my sick leave, since I've accrued a lot of it over the years, not missing except when I was too sick. I think this is the way it should be for employees, and I wish you were in such a situation.
