I take Haldol twice a day and when I started it I was so paranoid I had to wear sunglasses out in public and often couldn't do simple errands without a meltdown. I was also hallucinating. I've improved greatly since then and have not experienced any side effects. I was really nervous about taking meds and my pdoc said this is one they use for children and he considered it relatively safe so that helped a little.
