I've noticed that many of those who responded to my last post were aspiring psychologists or at least something to that effect. So now my question is whether or not one can become a psychologist if, in the course of therapy, another need arises such as antidepressants or a medication to help with anxiety....(assuming that such a need would not affect ability to help others). Personally, I think it would be more humbling than anything (as it would promote acceptance of the fact that sometimes more than words are needed), but is there any sort of legal boundary?
