I was put on scheduled dose xanax for mine (I know - not standard, I was a mess when I came in). It's relieved it entirely, but five years later, I'm still on 3mg a day. At least the dose hasn't increased...

My daughter currently struggles with HI daily, and has not yet gotten medical attention for it because it's not accessible. Needless to say, the sharps have been locked up (FOR OVER A YEAR NOW. WTF?). I wish I could offer some better ideas to cope, and I wish I'd been able to contribute more initially...

But please know you're not alone. And you can always call crisis centers... though in my experience, they limit your time after a while (which is incredibly unfair, because people who are "overusing" these systems are typically doing so because the system is broken. For example, my state ranks 50th, and people who run it don't understand why we can't get out of the system. DUH. It's ****ing broken. Ok, enough of my soapbox...

I feel for you, trying to deal with this. I hope it gets easier soon.
